Eurostars Casa de la Lírica

Rooms are as shown in the pictures, just be warned when the hotels says balcony, they mean a bar across the window. We had to pay for the terrace room as this is the only room with outside space but it was beautiful and perfect for dining and sunbathing.

The location. Massively convenient. Very close to downtown metro stations and a very short walk to Grand Via. The breakfast was magnificent. The way it was laid out with an enormous choice of delicious foods was just about the best hotel breakfast we have experienced (we are frequent travellers). We didn’t eat at the hotel but sometimes had bar food which was amazing. Modern reception area. Clean and bright.

Overall this was a really nice hotel to stay in. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (especially as our Spanish was not good!), the room was spacious and well equipped, and the location was fantastic - moments from Sol and the city centre. It’s so easy to explore the city on foot - for example Plaza Major, La Latina, the Royal Palace, and the parks are all an easy walk. Lots of foodie spots nearby too. The hotel felt clean, safe, homely and special.

What a fantastic hotel! We stayed for three nights 24th - 27th May (it was 30 degrees so if you like heat, it’s a great time to visit!) and were absolutely thrilled when we arrived! The hotel was beautiful, the decor was stunning, it was spotlessly clean and the staff were super helpful and friendly. We opted for the deluxe double room with terrace and it exceeded all expectations. The room was huge, there a was large bed, plenty of wardrobe space, a mini bar, iron and ironing board, a sofa area with a second TV, a spacious bathroom with a hairdryer and big shower and a stunning terrace with a table and chairs and lots of pretty plants. They also laid out towels as swans with rose petals and chocolates in the bed which just added an extra special touch. The room was cleaned daily as were the bed sheets and towels, there’s a safe for personal items and reception are only a call away. We were given a map with recommendations when we arrived which was really helpful and the hotel itself is located in the centre of everything! There’s plenty around and it’s only a few minutes walk to plaza mayor with cabs easily accessible and the metro very close by too allowing easy access to all the main attractions and restaurants! Can’t recommend the hotel enough, it’s also very reasonably priced for what you get so we’ll definitely stay again when we come back!

The main reason we chosen this hotel was the fact that the bedrooms have wooden floors, no carpet! The whole hotel was very clean, smelled very nice and staff was very polite and helpful. The room had a mini fridge and coffee making facility, plenty of storage in a wardrobe. Hotel staff made extra effort for my sister birthday and left a surprise card with chocolates and balloons in the room..There is an air con but we could not turn it down, we opened the window without any restriction, and had fresh air. The TV volume is automatically preset and won't go over volume of 14, which is helpful to maintain noise, but not if you struggle with your hearing. Overall it is a good hotel that is trying to provide relaxing environment for all, the website photos are justified and provide true picture of the hotel.
